A community resource
During the last twelve years our centre has grown and developed around the people who use it. Worcester Snoezelen has evolved to become a community resource valued by many people from a variety of backgrounds.
Some of our visitorsWe now welcome around 450 visitors to the centre every week. Most of them come on a regular basis and see the centre as their own special place for relaxation and fun. It seems to be a cross between the pub, the cinema and the leisure centre for people to whom these mainstream resources are rendered meaningless or inaccessible through their disabilities.
Over the years our centre has become a central part of the community and recent developments have enabled more and more people to enjoy the social aspects of the facilities we provide. The music concert in November 2006 was a great success and an unforgettable evening for all concerned. Our sensory garden is enjoyed well into the autumn and is a wonderful addition to the centre, providing a lovely peaceful space for groups to socialise while having a picnic or snack.
