Inclusive yoga

We offer gentle person-centred yoga classes, adapted to suit the people taking part.  Anyone can benefit from yoga, and our sessions are especially tailored to the those attending our classes. Our fully qualified yoga teacher, Lizzie, has more than 20 years’ experience working with people with learning and physical disabilities, and the classes are offered to young people and adults in our tranquil studio.

Well-known benefits of yoga include improvements in strength, balance and flexibility. Helping keep limbs mobile, including for those with limited mobility, reducing stress and helping with relaxation, leading to improved sleep. When put together, these benefits contribute to increased feelings of well-being, and better mental as well as physical health.

Specially adapted for you

Our typical sessions are specially adapted for those taking part so that yoga is fully accessible for everyone. Our yoga teacher can assist with movement into postures, and a session will usually include a descriptive guided meditation and Pranayama breathing techniques. Our fully equipped studio has yoga mats, bolsters, bricks, blocks, and other props. A hoist for wheelchair users is available if needed. Come along wearing loose clothing and prepare to be refreshed!

We offer both one to one and small group classes for up to 3 people, with typical sessions being 30 to 45 minutes – just the right amount of time for most people who visit us.
