We were delighted to take part in a BBC Midlands Today news segment with our Activity Wednesday group celebrating a £5,000 grant from the Worcestershire Community Foundation! As part of the Strengthening Communities fund, this grant focuses on championing smaller charities who make a big difference across their communities.

Featuring interviews from our very own members Jenny, Matthew, Charlie and Liam, as well as parachute games and charades, the piece truly highlights the joy and social connection of our group activity day.

“Without this there’d be nothing for any of them to do. It’s just absolutely fantastic,” said Paul Davies, Stepdad to our very own Liam.

A HUGE thank you to Lucy Wells from Worcestershire Community Foundation for choosing us for this opportunity and to Laura and Paul from BBC Midlands Today for showcasing the infectious positivity and enjoyment of this session to the people of the West Midlands.

The piece was aired live on Tuesday 11th February as part of both the lunchtime and evening news and showed again at Activity Wednesday on Wednesday 12th February. It was brilliant to share in the excitement of members seeing themselves on the big screen and many autographs were signed! A truly special and empowering moment for the group.
